Johnson & Johnson (NYSE: JNJ): Current price $95.20

Vertex Pharmaceuticals said Thursday that it sold the royalty it receives on the hepatitis C drug Incivo to its partner Janssen Pharmaceutical, which is a subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson, at a price of $152 million. Beginning in 2014, Johnson & Johnson will no longer be required to pay the royalty it owes Vertex on sales in Europe and other areas. Vertex will continue to sell the drug on its own in the United States, in which it is marketed as Incivek.

Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. (NYSE:KKR): Current price $22.87

On Thursday, a consortium led by the sub-investment grade manager KKR Asset Management, owned by KKR, announced it will purchase Winoa Group from LBO France. The transaction facilitates a recapitalization of the business via a significant lowering of the debt and access to new money for growth. Winoa Group, formerly known as Wheelabrator Allevard, provides abrasion and cutting tech for the metal and stone industries. The closing of the deal remains subject to approval by the authorities. No numbers were mentioned in the press release.

Velti plc. (NASDAQ:VELT): Current price $0.12

The supplier of mobile marketing and advertising tech announced that it has gotten bankruptcy court approval to continue with the divestiture of its mobile marketing unit. The court also approved affiliates of GSO Capital Partners LP, the credit division of Blackstone, as the stalking horse bidder. The current proposed deal includes the sale of business lines operated by Velti Inc. and Air2Web Inc. in the United States, Air2Web India, Velti DR Limited and Mobile Interactive Group, Ltd. in the United Kingdom, and Velti Netherlands BV in The Netherlands.

Trimble Navigation Ltd. (NASDAQ:TRMB): Current price $32.21

Trimble Navigation announced Thursday that it has purchased the privately-held CSC, UK Ltd. headquartered in Leeds, from ISIS Equity Partners LLP and senior management. Among CSC’s products are software solutions for the analysis and design of steel and concrete buildings. Trimble and CSC share experience in the world building and construction market that includes a large customer base of engineering organizations. Financials of the transaction were not divulged.
